About this event
Fly fishing doesn't have to be intimidating! This class builds upon the Introduction to Fly Fishing, Gear, and Casting class. We'll discuss the various fly line types, leaders, and we'll practice 3 easy knots to make you self-reliant on the water.
The knots you will learn:
- The double-surgeon's knot, to connect tippet to leader.
- The clinch knot and the improved clinch knot, to connect tippet to fly.
- Lefty's Loop, to give your fly more action
Tying thin fishing line can be difficult. I will also share an easy way to connect your fly using a pair of hemostats.
I will have materials for practicing.
After this class, you'll be one step closer to catching fish! [Every 2nd Friday of the month until January 8, 2027]
